Conveyancing

If you want to buy or sell a home, land or investment property you’ll have to sign a contract. The legal work involved in preparing the sales contract, mortgage and other related documents, is called conveyancing. It’s possible to do your own conveyancing, however, most people get a licensed conveyancer or solicitor to do the work for them.

While conveyancers and solicitors are equally qualified to do conveyancing work, solicitors can also give you legal advice about other matters.

Our Conveyancing Team, which is headed by Adam West, a solicitor, and can assist you to buy or sell, lease or undertake other dealings with residential or commercial property. Property transactions are fraught with risk and by utilising the services of a solicitor you can minimise that risk. There is a substantial amount of legal work involved that our solicitor can carry out on your behalf - from preparation of leases, to contracts for sale of land, mortgages, caveats and other related matters. Our Conveyancing Team can provide you with the conveyancing services that are required to negotiate your property transaction effectively.

At Cox West Lawyers we understand that your property will probably be the biggest investment you'll ever make. We ensure that the legal work is carried out efficiently and smoothly and our clients are kept well informed of the progress of the matter. We want to make sure that the process is as stress free as possible for our clients.

As well as acting in the purchase and sale of residential and commercial property we also accept instructions in transfers of property between family members, preparation of commercial leases, advising clients in relation to commercial and retail leases and drafting and registering mortgages.
